In Japan, public schools and private schools require that you wear a school uniform. Each school has a distintable uniform. So if a student is doing something he or she is not supposed to be, others can quickly identify their school and report it. Elementary school, middle school, and high school uniforms are all different. And they even have a seperate uniform for gym and swimming! They even have different uniforms for winter and summer. They believe that if they wear these uniforms, it will raise their work ethic. And its proven that it does.
