Harajuku refers to the area around Harajuku station. Its a very widely known and popular fasion. It is very extreme and more worn among teenagers. They resemble Anime♥charecters or punk musicians. Harajuku is an expensive fashion at times, and more used more teenage girls then boys. You normally dont see it till Sunday. When the kids have the day off from school. It started from kids wanting to be different and lash out, and caught on quickly with other kids. By wearing Harajuku, its very easy to express who you are, and it doesnt matter if you think you look weird! Thats Harajuku too! You never see the same outfit on two different people. People might know Japan to be very traditional and strict and the kids find Harajuku to be a way to break free of their boundaries, even for a temporary moment, but you never wear anything like this at school.
